News New Laboratory Opened In Fall 2005, the Crescent Laboratory is proud to announce the opening of our new facility on the mesanine level of the Sid Richardson Sciences Building. Thanks to all those at the university who helped us acquire the funding and resources necessary to make this project a success. Wiki Just implemented: a wiki for the Crescent Lab so that Documentation and knowledge can be stored and accessed by lab members in an easily digested manner. The wiki method of sharing project and domain knoweldge has been shown to be highly effective in keeping project members up to date. For those who are curious, are using the MediaWiki software (used by Wikipedia). This wiki is for internal use only; lab members should contact Jonathan Clark via e-mail to receive a link and login information. Subversion (SVN) The lab now runs a subversion version control server for all source code, documentation, and scripts that pertain to lab work. Thus, all previous versions are saved to help analyze any regression issues, to prevent data loss, and promote easier interaction between team members. If you have done any work for the lab, please make sure all files pertaining to your project have a home in SVN. About Us Crescent is the research lab of the Department of Computer Science at Texas Christian University. Research areas include intelligent multi-agent systems, biologically-inspired systems, and decision-theoretic reasoning. Current application areas for the research are in Smart Home components and Knowledge Management systems. Crescent is supported by the College of Science and Engineering and under grants by the National Science Foundation and TXU. If you would like more information, please contact Dr. Ball (see below). Faculty officies for the Crescent Lab's principal investigators are located in the Tucker Technology Center. Contact Information Principal Investigators Research Assistants
